Origin: An aesthetic trend spread on social media, inspired by romanticised rural life.

Cottagecore is an aesthetic trend spread on social media that romanticises rural life: growing flowers, baking, embroidery and farm markets. It is close to cottage style but is more a mood and way of living than a design rule set. Spaces feature floral fabrics, woven baskets, ceramics, dried flowers and warm light.

In Vietnam you can express it through a corner rather than the whole home: an open kitchen shelf, a linen-dressed bed, a sewing table, a balcony garden. Use warm-toned engineered wood, cotton curtains, brocade throws and dried flower vases. Humidity makes fabrics and dried flowers damp, so air them in gentle sun, use moisture absorbers and keep them off wet walls.
